Musical Theatre Summer Workshop

June 21 - July 24

JA Vocal Music is offering a 5 week workshop where students will learn to:

-Audition for a musical production
-Perform acting scenes
-Perform musical numbers including singing and dancing
-Make props and sets
-Put on their own stage make-up
-Perform in a full musical theatre production

We will be performing Cinderella at The Complex Theatres in Hollywood
with live, professional musicians.

The workshop will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00am to 3:00pm
at JA Vocal Music's Lake Balboa location.

Car pooling is offered to participants coming from the Conejo Valley area and the Canoga Park area.

(If there are more than 15 people that sign up for the workshop, it will be held in a
larger space which will be close to the Lake Balboa location.)

There is a total of 90 hours of rehearsal time not including the performances.

Cost

The cost is $765 per person which is less than $9 per hour!
(A $200 non-refundable deposit is due when the student signs up for the workshop.)

Other Discounts:
-JA Vocal Music Students will receive a discount of 20% off.
-Families with more than one student participating in the program will receive a discount of
$100 off for each additional student. (Applies to immediate family only.)
-College students will receive a discount of $95 off.

Your payment not only pays for the rehearsal time. It also helps to pay for the rental of the theatre,
the payment for the musicians, the props and sets, the insurance required by the theatre, the licensing
of the show and the rental of the scripts and music books.

Participants will be responsible for providing their own costumes.

Car pooling is offered to participants coming from the
Conejo Valley area for an additional fee of $45.

There will be 2 performances: Friday, July 23rd and Saturday, July 24th.
